Drop is a social CRM and engagement tool that allows brands, artists, and retailers to automate discussions via DMs after users have engaged. It enables capturing these users through the DM opt-in feature (click here to learn more about the DM opt-in) and retargeting them later via DM push for nurturing or conversion.

To send a DM first to these users, they need to engage with your content first. Here are the levers we can use to initiate 1:1 conversations:

  1. Comments on Posts/Reels: When users comment on your posts or reels, our system can trigger automated flows regardless of the comment's content.

  2. DMs: We can trigger messages based on specific keywords or emojis when users send you direct messages.

  3. Story Reactions and Mentions: When users react to your stories or mention your account in their stories, it triggers our system to initiate a conversation.

Once we get the DM opt-in from the user, we can send them push messages (once a day maximum).

Without the DM opt-in:

  • We have 7 days to engage with users who commented on a post.

  • We have 24 hours to engage with users who replied to a story or sent a direct message.

By leveraging these tools and features, you can effectively engage with your audience and build meaningful connections through personalized conversations.
